1. Introduction

Welcome to Subly ("we," "our," or "us"). Subly is developed and operated by Bansaree Bhalsod. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Subly (the "App") available on the Apple App Store.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We are committed to collecting only the minimum information necessary to provide you with the best experience.

Information You Provide Directly:

  • Subscription Data: Service names, categories, amounts, billing cycles, renewal dates, and notes that you manually enter into the App. This data is stored locally on your device.
  • Custom Categories & Payment Methods: Any custom categories or payment methods you create within the App.
  • Preferences: Your app settings including appearance mode, currency, language, notification preferences, and haptic feedback settings.

Automatically Collected Information:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and debugging purposes.
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to help us improve the App's features and performance. No personally identifiable information is included.

Information We Do NOT Collect:

  • We do not collect bank account information, credit card numbers, or financial login credentials.
  • We do not access or read your actual bank transactions.
  • We do not collect your location data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality.
  • Display your subscription data, spending insights, and renewal calendars.
  • Send you local push notifications about upcoming renewals (only if you enable this feature).
  • Sync your data across your Apple devices via your personal iCloud account (only if you enable iCloud sync).
  • Process in-app purchases and manage your Pro subscription status through Apple's StoreKit framework.
  • Analyze anonymous usage patterns to improve the App.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to any third parties.

Your data may be processed by the following services only as necessary:

  • Apple iCloud (CloudKit): If you enable iCloud sync, your subscription data is stored in your personal iCloud account, managed entirely by Apple under their privacy policy.
  • Apple StoreKit: In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Data Storage, Retention & Security

Your subscription data is stored locally on your device using Apple's CoreData framework. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is synced securely across your devices via CloudKit using your private iCloud account. We do not store your financial data on external servers.

Data Retention: Subly retains your subscription entries solely on your device for as long as you maintain the application. Because Subly does not operate external account databases, we do not retain your records on any company server.

6. Your Rights, Data Deletion & Export

You have complete ownership and control over your data within Subly:

  • Data Deletion: You can delete individual subscriptions or reset all data at any time directly in the App. To permanently delete all synced data from Apple iCloud, you can remove Subly data in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Subly.
  • Data Export: You may export all your subscription records into a standard CSV file at any time.
  • No Account Required: Since Subly does not require you to create an account or sign in with an email, deleting the app from your device and clearing iCloud storage completely eradicates all associated data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The App itself does not use cookies or web-based tracking technologies. Our marketing website may use essential cookies for functionality purposes only. We do not use advertising trackers or retargeting pixels.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users within the App if the changes are material. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
